EV Charging Stations Being Installed at Town Hall

EV charging stations Kittery
The Town of Kittery is working on a number of initiatives associated with climate change, including taking steps to reduce greenhouse gas emissions generated by multiple vehicles and facilities.  This spring, the Town was awarded a grant to install four vehicle charging stations at Town Hall to support the charging of both municipal electric vehicles and public electric vehicles.

Work to install the new charging stations is set to begin the week of August 30, 2021.  The installation may include the removal of trees and brush within the Town Hall overflow parking lot area. Equipment operation in public areas is very difficult and safety is always a concern.  The public is asked to drive slowly and take care during the installation.

The new EV charging stations are another exciting step towards a more sustainable Kittery.  For more information on Sustainability & Resiliency Efforts in Kittery, please click here.
