REMINDER: THE PARTY ENROLLMENT CHANGE DEADLINE IS FEBRUARY 13, 2020 AT 6:00 PM - IN ORDER TO RECEIVE A PARTY BALLOT, VOTERS MUST DO THIS FIRST.


Absentee ballots are now available and can be requested in person, Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM at the Town Clerk’s office located at 200 Rogers Road, over the phone by calling 207-475-1313 or online by clicking here. To download and print an absentee ballot application, please click here.  The deadline to request an absentee ballot is February 27, 2020, by 6:00 PM.  Absentee ballots can only be issued after this date due to extenuating circumstances according to State law.

The Presidential Primary & Special Referendum Election will take place on March 3, 2020 from 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM at the Kittery Community Center Gymnasium, located at 120 Rogers Road, Kittery, ME 03904.

Voters must be enrolled in a political party to vote in a primary, or caucus.  Unenrolled or “Independent” voters may only vote on the referendum ballot.  Voters may enroll in a party at any time, but those wishing to change their party enrollment, must do so a minimum of 16 days prior to a primary or caucus.  The deadline for party changes for the March 3, 2020 Presidential Primary & Special Referendum Election is 6:00 PM on February 13, 2020.

The Registrar’s Office will be hosting a Voter Registration Night on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Town Hall. This event will assist residents with voter registration, name/address corrections, and absentee voting. Please bring proof of identity and residency if registering to vote.
