Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Training Today - November 17, 2020

The Portsmouth Naval Shipyard will be conducting a routine security response training exercise this morning, Tuesday, November 17, 2020, beginning at 11:00 AM. 

This exercise is designed to enhance the training and readiness of the shipyard’s Naval Security Force. The training is not in response to any specific threat, but is regularly scheduled training. Due to the location of the training exercise, members of the public may hear noise or see security personnel responding to the training event.

The timing of the training exercise coincides with normal closure hours of Gate 2 to minimize disruptions. Gate 1 will remain open as the main access/egress to Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.
