Winter Storm Information for March 14, 2023 - Town Offices, KRRF Closed & On-Street Parking Ban Instituted from 6 AM - Midnight

Closure Information:

Due to expected snowfall, the Resource Recovery Facility will be closed today to assist with snow operations. 

The Kittery Town Hall will be closed today.  Town Hall will reopen for regular business hours on Wednesday, March 15, 2023.  Many Town Hall services and resources are available online 24/7 at www.kitteryme.gov/onlineservices.

The Kittery Community Center will close at 10AM today.  The Kittery Community Center will reopen for regular business hours on Wednesday, March 15, 2023.  For more information about programs, schedules and services, please click here to visit their website.

The Rice Public Library will also be closed today.  To access the Library’s online services and resources, please click here to visit their website.

Parking Ban Information:

The Town of Kittery has instituted an on-street parking ban per Kittery Town Code Chapter 10.3.1.6 from 6:00 AM - midnight, Tuesday, March 14, 2023.

The municipal parking lot, as well as the Rice Public Library and Kittery Art Association parking lots will be available for parking.  Please see the photo below to view the lots available for parking.

The Town of Kittery would like to remind residents that the winter parking ban is in effect during the evening hours.  Per Kittery Town Code Chapter 10.3.1.6, no vehicle should be parked on any Town way between the hours of midnight - 6:00 AM, regardless of weather conditions.  Violations of the parking ban could result in a fine and the vehicle being towed at the owner’s expense. 

Safety Reminders:

For those that must travel during the storm, please remember to clear the snow from vehicles before getting on the road, take it slow and leave plenty of room for plows and public safety vehicles.
