Whipple Road Sidewalk Project - Paving & Milling Updates Beginning Friday, November 4, 2022

As part of the Town of Kittery’s Whipple Road Sidewalk Project, road paving and milling work will be taking place on Whipple Road between Wyman Ave and Old Ferry Lane on the following dates:

  • Roadway paving and milling work will be taking place tomorrow, Friday, November, 4, 2022 between the hours of 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM.  

  • Paving to tie in existing driveways, including Tilton Ave and Newson Ave, into the new Whipple Road pavement will be taking place beginning Monday, November 7, 2022 - Friday, November 18, 2022.

Equipment operation and construction within the confines of roadways is very difficult and safety is always a concern.  Flaggers will be stationed throughout the roadway, directing traffic during lane closures.  Residents should expect traffic delays while the paving and milling work is completed.

We appreciate the patience of drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists, as we work to complete this project.
