Town of Kittery to Begin Issuing Day Licenses for Shellfish Harvesting - December 1, 2023

The Town of Kittery will begin issuing Day Licenses for Shellfish Harvesting, effective December 1, 2023.
For the 2023-2024 season, the following Day Licenses will be available on all open harvesting days on a first come, first serve basis.
- 9 Resident Day Licenses: $15.00 each
- 1 Non-Resident Day License: $15.00 each
Clam harvesting may only occur on Sundays and nationally recognized holidays, between sunrise and sunset, during the harvest season (December 3, 2023 - April 28, 2024).
Day Licenses will be issued via the Town’s online permitting system. License fees can be paid online by credit card (processing fees will be included) or ACH payment, only.

The Day License is valid only for the requested harvesting date. No shellfish harvesting is allowed out of season or without a valid Shellfish Harvesting License.
