The annual observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day is a time that we honor and celebrate the life, legacy and impact of civil rights leader, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

In observance of MLK Day, the Kittery Town Hall will be closed on Monday, January 15, 2024.  Town Hall will re-open for regular business hours, on Tuesday, January, 16, 2024. 

If you’re interested in learning about Dr. King and his legacy, please visit the Rice Public Library, located at 8 Wentworth Street in Kittery.  The library has a variety of related books on display near the main desk and Children's Room.  

For those that want to get creative, the Children's Room also has coloring sheets honoring Dr. King at their coloring tables.
