Short Term Rental License Applications Available Online

Short Term Rental Kittery

Pursuant to approval from the Town Council on July 27, 2020, the Kittery Code Enforcement Office is now issuing licenses for all short term rentals within the Town of Kittery.

A short term rental is defined as "the use, control, management or operation of a dwelling unit or accessory dwelling unit, in whole or in part for dwelling, sleeping or lodging purposes for periods of fewer than 30 consecutive days; for compensation, directly or indirectly.”

All short term rentals are required to be licensed no later than December 31, 2020.  Licenses are valid for one year from the date of issue and must be renewed annually.  For more information about short term rental requirements and limitations, please click here.
