Rice Public Library Virtual Groundbreaking Celebration - Join the Fun!

The construction phase of the Rice Public Library Renovation & Expansion Project is set to begin in March. To commemorate this exciting milestone, the Town of Kittery is planning a virtual groundbreaking celebration and the public is invited to participate.

To be part of the event, visit the Rice Public Library, located at 8 Wentworth Street, Kittery, ME and look for the groundbreaking shovel photo prop.  Next, get creative by snapping your best selfie in front of the library. Selfies can be sent via email to kitterychannel22@kitteryme.org to be included in the virtual event.  The deadline to receive selfies for the celebration is 4:00 PM on March 11, 2021.

Library selfies will be compiled along with other memorable photos, videos and quotes that capture the library’s rich history, in order to create the groundbreaking celebration.

The groundbreaking celebration will be broadcast on Channel 22 and available to view online.  Details on the date and time of the program will be posted as soon as they are available.
