Have you been looking for ways to get involved and make a lasting impact on the Kittery community?  Joining the Planning Board is a great way to do just that. The Planning Board is currently seeking a member, and applications are available at Town Hall, located at 200 Rogers Road in Kittery, or online by clicking here.

By serving on the Planning Board, you'll make a valuable contribution to the community and meet other residents who share similar interests.  It also provides an opportunity for you to:

  • Put your experience and skills to work, finding creative ways to help the people around you
  • Support local government in addressing issues and concerns
  • Provide guidance and input for future decision-making

The Planning Board meets the second and fourth Thursday of each month in Council Chambers, and advises the Town Council on re-zoing and other development related items.  The board helps to ensure that proposed development does not adversely impact the health, safety and welfare of Kittery, assuring the protection of the Town's character and providing high quality development.
