There’s potential for severe weather this afternoon, Thursday, July 27, 2023 into tomorrow evening.  Severe thunderstorms are expected, along with the possibility of damaging winds, high heat and the threat of tornado weather.  According the the National Weather Service (Gray, ME), as of 2:29 PM:

  • A heat advisory is in effect until 8 PM this evening
  • A flood watch is in effect until 9 PM this evening
  • A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect until 8 PM this evening

If you need a place to cool down, during periods of extreme heat, please consider visiting the Rice Public Library or Kittery Community Center.  Both buildings are air conditioned and are great places to take a break from the heat.
