Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Training Exercise - Wednesday, October 4, 2023

The Portsmouth Naval Shipyard will conduct routine emergency response training on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 beginning at approximately 8:30 AM. This training is being conducted to ensure emergency response personnel are prepared, ready and trained to respond to an emergency situation.
Due to the location of the training exercise, members of the public may see security personnel responding to the training event. As part of this training, the shipyard will utilize the public address loud speaker system, known as the Giant Voice. No action is required by the public, as these Giant Voice transmissions are simply part of the training.
This is not in response to any specific threat, but is regularly scheduled training.
