Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Training Exercise - Thursday, January 18, 2024

The Portsmouth Naval Shipyard will conduct routine emergency response training on Thursday, January 18, 2024.

The training is being conducted to ensure emergency response personnel are prepared, ready and trained to respond to emergency situations.

As part of this training, the shipyard will utilize the public address loud speaker system, known as the Giant Voice. No action is required by the public, as these Giant Voice transmissions are just part of the training.

Due to the location of the training exercise, members of the public may see security personnel responding to the training event.  This is not in response to any specific threat, but is regularly scheduled training.
