Maine Municipal Association Awards Safety Enhancement Grant to the Town of Kittery

The Maine Municipal Association Workers Compensation Fund recently announced that it has awarded a $2,000 Safety Enhancement grant to the Town of Kittery.  

The Ed MacDonald Safety Enhancement Grant provides financial assistance to members of the MMA Works Compensation Fund, and will allow Town staff to purchase safety and ergonomic equipment to assist in reducing the frequency and severity of workplace injuries.  The reduction in employee injuries also benefits the taxpayers by lessening lost hours at work, cost of claims and potential overtime expenses for employees who might have to fill in for injured co-workers.
