Kittery Educational Scholarship Application

Applications for the Kittery Educational Scholarship are now available.  Funds for this scholarship are from the monies accumulated over the years by the Recycling Committee, and the scholarships will be awarded annually.  Any resident of the town who has, or will graduate from, an accredited high school, G.E.D. program or a home-schooling program – and who has enrolled in a post secondary college, university or vocational-technical school is eligible to apply.

In addition to academic achievement and demonstrated financial need, special consideration may be given to any applicant who has shown an interest in conservation, the environment or other recycling related issues and who intends to concentrate their studies in environmental disciplines.

Applicants will be required to write an essay of 250-500 words, relating to the above-mentioned fields of interest. Information packets are available at The Traip Academy Guidance Counselors office, Superintendent’s office, Town Hall and Rice Public Library and all application packets must be received no later than April 15, 2019; there will be no exceptions.  Please submit applications to the Town Clerk's office, located at 200 Rogers Road, Kittery, ME 03904.
