Invasive Plant Removal at Legion Pond - Beginning Monday, June 26, 2023

Beginning Monday, June 26, 2023, and continuing throughout the week, divers will be completing invasive plant removal at Legion Pond. Divers will be targeting and removing curly-leafed pondweed using a technique called “diver assisted suction harvesting” (DASH).
Divers will return for another week, beginning Monday, July 3, 2023. Plant removal during this time will focus on curly-leafed pondweed, as well as European naiad, which proliferates later in the season.
