Fort Foster Update - Seasonal Changes

With the fall season approaching, Fort Foster is preparing to observe its off season schedule.  Fort Foster will remain fully open to season and day pass-holders, 7 days a week through Monday, September 5, 2022 (Labor Day).  Following Labor Day, Fort Foster will be open on weekends only, until the close of the season on Sunday, September 25, 2022.  

After September 25th, the entrance gate to Fort Foster will remain open for limited parking in the large parking lot, with the exception of snow or ice events that make the park roads and/or parking lots unsafe for vehicles. During the off-season there are no attendants or restroom facilities available.

Fort Foster is a local treasure, as well as a complex and vital natural resource providing habitat to native and endangered animals, plants and trees. Whether visiting during the regular season, or off-season, visitors are asked to carry out all litter, trash and pet waste in an effort to protect this vital natural resource for our generation and generations to come.
