Town Council Resolution - State of Maine Ballot Referendum Question 1

At its meeting on October 23^rd, 2017, the Town Council signed a resolution opposing the State of Maine Ballot Referendum Question 1.  This resolution states the Town Council does not wish to see the expansion of any legal gaming, including table gaming and slots, to York County, Maine. 

The Town of Kittery by charter, prohibits casinos and any form of legalized gambling, thus the Town Council finds the November 7^th 2017 Maine ballot question 1, that would make legal in York County gaming for a “certain company”, not in the best interest of the citizens of Kittery, York County or the State of Maine.
