Rice Public Library to Soft Open - Saturday, June 4, 2022

The Town of Kittery is excited to announce the soft reopening of the newly renovated and expanded Rice Public Library, this Saturday, June 4, 2022 at 10:00 AM.

Rice Public Library staff are eager to welcome patrons back inside the building to resume library services, while our project team completes some final touch-ups. Inviting visitors back inside the library will help us test out systems and identify any final adjustments that may be needed throughout the building. Some areas of the library may remain closed at this time, including the Maine Room, Business Room and Maker Space. We anticipate these areas to be ready for patrons later this month.

We may need to close the library for a few days in June to accommodate final shelving and signage installation, as well as a final cleaning before the official ribbon cutting. Additional details will be posted about the ribbon cutting celebration in the coming weeks. But for now, welcome back - we’ve missed you!
