Foreside Land Use, Parking, and Transportation Update
The Kittery Foreside Land Use, Parking, and Traffic Study is an integrated approach to fostering economic development in a sustainable manner. The Foreside Study details how change can occur without fundamentally changing what the community appreciates. The Study recommends transportation improvements and zoning amendments based on land use and traffic analysis and community input. The Study also provides strategic recommendations allowing certain areas to evolve into a place reflecting the values of the community. The study was an outgrowth of the Comprehensive Plan, The Foreside Forums, and input gathered from the community at workshops. In addition, KACTS, Town Staff and a Working Group provided guidance throughout the process. The study was completed in 2018 by TY-LIN International and MRLD Landscape Architecture + Urbanism.

In 2018, the Town is sought public input on the types of development and infrastructure desired to advance the findings of the Study and support the Foreside into the future via a short survey.
