Planning Board Applications

Please visit our online portal for construction and development applications. Once reviewed, department staff will inform the applicant whether planning board review is required.

Applications reviewed by planning board include:

• Shoreland development plan
• Major site plan (sketch, preliminary, and final review)
• Major and minor subdivision plan (sketch, preliminary, and final review)
• Major modification to an approved plan
• Right-of-Way plan
• Wetland alteration plan
• Zoning amendment request

In addition to permitting fees, planning board applications that require the Town contract third-party representatives (review engineers, legal counsel, etc.). are expected to provide $2,000 up front to cover private consultation fees.

The money will be added to a Town-held escrow account. If consultant fees exceed $2,000, more will be requested. If consultant fees stay below $2,000, the applicant will be reimbursed all funds not used.
