Take the Freebie Barn Survey Today!

The Town of Kittery is working with our Climate Adaptation Committee and Kittery Climate Action Now (KCAN) to plan for the reopening of the Freebie Barn.  

Since its closure, due to COVID-19, there has been an increase in services and groups that help divert usable items from the waste stream.  The growth of options for reuse of general goods has us all looking to the Freebie Barn to be an innovative service that meets the current needs of the community for reduction in waste, but also in advancing innovative strategies for reducing waste and the impacts it has on the environment.

Now, we’d like to hear from you! You can take the Freebie Barn survey by clicking here.  The survey should take less than four (4) minutes to complete, and will help us understand the interests of the community and where the greatest gaps are in keeping usable/reusable goods out of landfills and incinerators.
