Seeking Volunteers - Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan Steering Committee

As part of our commitment to improving conditions for cyclists and pedestrians within Kittery, we are forming a Steering Committee for the development of Kittery’s Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan. This plan will become the blueprint for targeted investments aimed at making our roads more hospitable for bicyclists and pedestrians.  Local knowledge and input, when linked with our consultant-led team of bicycle and pedestrian planners, is an integral part of the process.

The Town is seeking three volunteers to serve on the Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan Steering Committee.  

The Steering Committee is expected to have a time commitment of 10-15 hours between the first week of May and the end of November.  Steering Committee members will participate at a project kickoff meeting (week of May 3) and approximately three additional meetings that will cover identifying existing conditions, discussing conceptual improvements, and gathering feedback on the draft final report. Steering Committee members are called upon to provide the project team with local knowledge and data, and support project outreach. 

Interested individuals are asked to complete the attached application and return it by April 26, 2021.  Completed applications may be emailed to kamaral@kitteryme.org or dropped off at Kittery Town Hall, 200 Rogers Road.
