Scheduled Paving Maintenance - Updated 6/18/18

Update as of 6/18/2018: Paving maintenance for the roads detailed below is scheduled for this week on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 and Wednesday, June 20, 2018, weather permitting.

The Kittery Public Works Department, Highway Division will be conducting scheduled asphalt preventative maintenance surface overlay this construction season.  Barricades will be placed at the end of the roads scheduled for maintenance with specific paving dates.  Please note that weather, contractor and Town schedules could affect specific paying dates. Paving maintenance is scheduled for the following roads:

  • Philbrick Road
  • Traip Avenue
  • Goodsoe Road
  • Old Armory Way

Equipment operation and construction within the confines of roadways is very difficult and safety is always a concern.  Adults and children are asked to stay completely out of the construction site and everyone is advised to drive slowly and carefully through the work area.  During the time of road work, all vehicles must be off of the roadways and out of the right-of-ways within the paving zones.  Any vehicles that are not moved on construction day(s) may be towed at the owner's expense.
