Juneteenth Holiday

Juneteenth

President Biden signed into law the establishment of Juneteenth as a national holiday.  Juneteenth commemorates the end of slavery in the United States.

The Town of Kittery recognizes the importance of Juneteenth.  The holiday helps us focus on the ongoing need to end systematic racism and strive to be a community that is free from bias and discrimination.

Town services including the KRRF, Kittery Community Center, Fort Foster, and Rice Public Library will remain open on Saturday, June 19th.
