Chief's Corner

Photo of Fire Truck Welcome, and thank you for showing an interest in our department.  Kittery is staffed by a dedicated group of call firefighters and is viewed by many in the seacoast as one of the finest call departments in the area.  Our firefighters have a great deal of pride and ownership in the department and are constantly looking for ways to improve our service to the citizens of our community.  Our apparatus and equipment is second to none and because of our firefighters commitment is maintained exceptionally well.

We work from two stations strategically located in order to provide quick service.  The two stations are led by dedicated officers and are located on Gorges Road in Kittery and Lewis Square in Kittery Point.  The stations work together in a systems approach to firefighting where the firefighters train together, respond together, and have a full working knowledge of firefighting practices used by both houses.  The firefighters are committed to providing an excellent service for our citizens and guests to our fine community.  We do this with a fiscally responsible budget with a mind on our taxpayers dollar at all times.

Thank you for supporting this department.

Respectfully,

Chief David W. O’Brien
