Q: My road has not been plowed, can I get it plowed now?

A: The Public Works Department follows an assigned route plan which includes your road…please be patient, we will get to you! 

 

Q: My sidewalk has not been plowed, when will it get done?

A: The Public Works Department follows an assigned route plan for sidewalk snow plowing and removal that begins the day after the storm. Generally it takes 3-4 days after the storm to clear all of the sidewalks from a single storm.

 

Reminder: It is not only illegal, but can be a serious traffic hazard to shovel or deposit driveway snow over a town sidewalk or into the street - Fines start at $150.00. If you have a private contractor plowing your driveway please make sure to remind them of this as you will be held responsible for their actions. 

 

Q: Can you remove the snow piles at the ends of my driveway?

A: For removal of snow buildup, residents need to remove the snow themselves or contract with a private snow removal company.
