Memorial Day Parade - Saturday, May 25

Memorial Day Parade Kittery

On Saturday, May 25th, Kittery will hold its annual Memorial Day parade.  The parade will begin at 9:00 AM, leaving from the old fire station on Walker Street, and proceed up Whipple Road to Shapleigh Road and end at the Orchard Grove Cemetery where a service will be held.

Join your friends and neighbors as Kittery honors its fallen heroes.  The parade will feature familiar town faces, the Kittery Schools’ marching bands, local volunteers, military personnel, veterans and more.  Allen Carter, U.S. States Army, Douglas Burnell, Navy Seabee, and March Schremmer, U.S. Marine Corps., will serve as the parade Grand Marshals this year.

On Friday, May 24th, in preparation for the parade event, the Kittery/Eliot VFW Post 9394 will be flagging grave sites at the Orchard Grove Cemetery, starting at 5:30 PM with the help of the local Scouts, and volunteers.  Anyone with an interest in helping is welcome to join.
