Kittery Police Department Receives Grant

The Bureau of Justice Assistance has announced that the Kittery Police Department will receive a grant from the Bulletproof Vest Partnership (BVP). The grant award, in the amount of $3,791.93 will be used to purchase National Institute of Justice compliant armored vests.

The BVP was created by the Bulletproof Vest Partnership Grant Act of 1998, and is a unique U.S. Department of Justice initiative designed to provide a critical resource to state and local law enforcement, such as uniquely fitted, protective armored vests.
