The intent and purpose of this Invitation for Bids (IFB) is to establish price agreements (labor and materials inclusive) for the replacement of the existing wooden fishing pier, and installation of retaining walls, and reconstruction of the paved approach to the wooden pier. This is a design/build project. The Contractor will be required to provide engineered plans from Maine registered engineers as part of the project. 

Each bid shall be on the forms provided and be signed by a person authorized to bind the bidder to the proposed contractual agreement.  Each bid shall be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the bidder’s name and “Government Street Wharf Replacement” on the outside. Electronic format of bids will not be accepted. Each bid shall be delivered to the place specified below and no later than 2:00 PM on August 27, 2018.

Unless otherwise specified, questions pertaining to general information regarding the project and/or interpretation of specifications during the bidding period shall be addressed only in writing. mandatory pre‐bid conference will be held on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Government Street Wharf, Town Landing, Kittery Maine (adjacent to 10 Town Landing).

Responses received after the submission deadline will not be accepted by the Town.
