Adopt A Road Program - Spring is here!

Adopt A Road Kittery

Dear Adopt-A-Road Volunteers

It’s time to say goodbye to winter and welcome spring! As the snow melts, we start to see the debris that accumulated over the past months.  It’s nice to see a few sprouts too!

Our awesome volunteers agree to work their road 3 times a year.  Many do it even more regularly.  April or May are good times to check things out after the snow and ice disappear and before the vegetation starts filling in.

  • Need a refresher on the safety checklist?
  • Need orange cones or safety vests for your cleanup?
  • Know anyone who would like to become a new adopter?
  • Over time, our signs may need a facelift due to fading or wear-and-tear.  Do you need a replacement or repair?

We’re here to help. For questions about being a volunteer or any other reason, please contact us at AdoptKitteryRoads@gmail.com.   You’ll find information and updates at the Kittery Conservation Commission web page: http://www.kitteryme.gov/conservation-commission

Looking forward to spring!
