Proudly serving Maine’s First Town
It shall be the mission of all members of the Kittery Police Department to provide professional and progressive public safety services through a philosophy of Purpose Driven Policing. With the understanding that our actions will prevent crimes, solve problems and create a safe environment for all who live, work and visit our community.
Our core values of Strength, Honor, Courage and Integrity will serve as pillars to define our organization and guide us as we build partnerships, while representing and protecting Maine’s First Town.
The ability to withstand moral and ethical challenges and the desire to provide strong leadership, guidance and support. To protect those who cannot protect themselves. And to create a safe environment for our members and the community.
Being accountable for our values by representing our organization, the Town of Kittery and her citizens in a professional and caring manner that will set the standard for others to follow.
Standing up to the challenges, both physically and morally. Ensuring we do what is right to protect ourselves and those we are sworn to protect.
Holding ourselves and other members of our organization to the highest of standards while acting as role models with trust, honesty and respect.
