KITTERY POLICE DISPATCH
The Kittery Police Department communication center handles all emergency and non-emergency calls for the Town of Kittery and the neighboring town of Eliot Maine. The center handles over 30,000 phone calls per year. Although this number is only an estimate, the communications center does dispatch about 20,000 calls for service, which includes traffic stops, offenses, criminal complaints, house checks, alarms and many other day to day activities.
The communication specialists dispatch not only for police, but are responsible for getting the tones out the the Fire Departments and alerting other agencies of a particular situation. American Medical response ambulance service is also part of the job assignments

The dispatch center is available to walk ins 24 hours a day seven days a week including holidays.
Burn permits, yard sales permits can be issued at the window. In many cases, the communication staff is your first contact with the Kittery Police Department and can assist you with your situation.
Dispatchers, use multiple screens and touch screens every day in the performance of their duties.
We will be using the new IMC software for public safety to handle many of the duties done day to day which used to use several types of software. As we switch to this new type of software, we will ensure a higher level of public safety records keeping and dispatching to help us better serve our community.
